Here’s a look at what’s coming from your favorite authors this fall. Registered library card holders may call the library at (586) 469-6200 to place holds on these forthcoming titles. When you place your hold in advance, you help your librarians decide how many copies of a popular title will be needed to meet demand. Albom, Mitch. The magic strings of Frankie Presto (coming in November). Frankie Presto is the greatest guitar player to ever live, but he has a gift and at times a burden of changing lives with his music. This novel tells of his journey as guitarist and the lives he changes with his music.
Baldacci, David. The Guilty. (November). Will Robie is the government’s most professional, disciplined and lethal assassin. He infiltrates the most hostile countries and eliminates threats before they reach our shores. All of a sudden his skills are gone, while on an overseas assignment he is unable to pull the trigger. He must confront his troubled past in order to recover his skills.
Burke, James Lee. House of the Rising Sun. (December). The story of a father and son separated by war and circumstance, and whose encounter with the legendary Holy Grail will change their lives forever. Set in 1918 Revolutionary Mexico.
Child, Lee. Make me: a Jack Reacher novel (September). Reacher is plunged into a desperate race through L.A., Chicago, Phoenix and San Francisco and through the hidden parts of the Internet. He’s up against thugs and assassins all along the way right back to where he started, an isolated town curiously named Mother’s Rest.
Clark, Mary Higgins. All Dressed in White. (November). The second novel in the Under Suspicion series following The Cinderella Murder features television producer Laurie Moran as she investigates the case of a missing bride. Five years ago Amanda Pierce disappeared while excitedly preparing for her wedding. Laurie Moran realizes a missing bride is the perfect cold case for her investigative television series “Under Suspicion.” (more…)
