Beginning on Monday, September 21, contractors will begin demolition and replacement of some crumbling concrete panels near the main entrances of the library. As our library building is now nearly half a century old, major maintenance issues such as these arise with ever-increasing frequency. The decay of these concrete panels is both an aesthetic and public safety problem and must be properly addressed.
At various times during the construction process, one of the two main entrances to the library will be closed, but the library will remain open for normal service hours. Please be aware that you may be required to use a different entrance to the library while this work is in progress. We ask that you observe the warning and directional signs that will be posted for your safety.
Depending upon weather conditions, the project is expected to be completed in about two weeks. We appreciate your patience and your cooperation.
