Mount Clemens Public Library is pleased offer online homework help in over 40 subject areas from qualified tutors through Tutor.com.  This new service is available for students enrolled in grades K-12 or the first two years of college.  Any cardholder from our library may access the free tutoring service online between the hours of 4 p.m. and 11 p.m. daily.

How does it work? Just sign in to the Tutor.com site with a library card and pin number.  Click on the button to connect with a tutor and answer a couple of questions about your grade level and the type of homework assignment you are working on. You will then be placed in a virtual classroom with a qualified tutor for your subject area and grade.  As you chat with the tutor, your session will be recorded, and you and your parent may review the recording or transcript of your tutoring session at any time.  You may also upload reports, research papers and other assignments that you are working on to have a tutor review them and make suggestions for improvement.

Tutor.com is free to use, and it operates in a safe environment. Tutors are thoroughly tested in their subject areas before being employed by Tutor.com. They will not give answers to students, but will guide them through the material and help them to understand it and reach answers on their own.  Only first names are  used during sessions, and tutors never have contact with students outside of the virtual classroom.

Explore Tutor.com by clicking here, or use the Tutor.com button on the left side of the library’s web page.
