Mount Clemens Public Library is pleased to offer one of Macomb County’s most extensive genealogy collections with over 300,000 print volumes, more than 5,000 reels of microfilm, popular subscription databases, and locally produced databases indexing Macomb County and Mount Clemens records.
Our collection concentrates on Macomb County genealogy and local history, but is also strong in neighboring Michigan counties and areas in the historical migratory path to Michigan, including New England, New York, Pennsylvania, Ohio, and Ontario, Canada.
Our Local History & Genealogy Room will have new hours starting March 1st.
If you need an appointment or if you cannot visit the library in person, but would like an experienced genealogist to perform look-ups in our collection, please email our Local History and Genealogy department.
Experienced members of the Macomb County Genealogy Group serve as volunteer research assistants during selected hours. Contact our Local History and Genealogy department at 586-469-6200, ext. 6 for up-to-date information about when volunteer genealogists are on duty.
