Macomb County Probate Index

This database is an index to 15,363 Macomb County, Michigan probate case files on 199 rolls of microfilm at Mount Clemens Public Library, and is relatively complete for the years 1821-1929. Missing from the collection and index, are 4 reels from the years 1922, 1923, and 1925, affecting only a small percentage of cases filed in those years, and about 7 early files that were missing at the time of filming.

Due to the tireless energy of Geraldine Carrick and other members of the Macomb County Genealogy Group, another 500 reels have been indexed, including 186 reels at Mount Clemens Public Library  and 314 at Macomb County Probate Court. This complete index which extends to the mid 1950s is available at Mount Clemens Public Library.
